15th Annual DFC Golf Tounament

Tuesday July 9th; 12:00pm Start
Redwoods Golf Course

Over fifteen years ago, a group of individuals made a decision to change the way
cancer has touched their lives. To channel the negative energy into something
positive and to ultimately make a difference. The ‘Drive for the Cure’ was born.

Join the DFC team on May 4th in Port Moody, B.C., when we mount our
bicycles for Wheel to Heal--a bike event to raise money for Eagle Ridge
Hospital Foundation which serves the Tri-cities. Riders have a choice of
courses to suit their fitness, challenge level and mood, from kids to adults
of all fitness levels. Our team has pledged to raise $10,000 from Wheel to
Heal to help provide new equipment to better care for the over 100,000
people that visit Eagle Ridge Hospital each year. Wheel to Heal is a great
way to give back to a local hospital, get active and have fun with family,
friends, neighbours and other bike riders around the region. To find out how
to register or pledge your support, go to www.wheeltoheal.ca today. Thanks
for your support!

Come be greeted by our Drive for the Cure volunteers as you drop your bag and grab something from the complementary tailgate BBQ at registration. Try your luck at the putting contest as you watch the first tee. Scramble your way through the Redwoods enjoying refreshing cocktails and exceptional food. Bring your long drive and cup seeking irons to grab some amazing prizes. Most of all, ‘Drive for a Cure.’

Our live and silent auctions are made possible with the many generous donations by family, friends, local retailers and those with the common goal to support those fighting cancer. After a great round of golf at The Redwoods, our golfers vie for a wide variety of silent auction items. It is not uncommon to see donations like a live pink dogwood tree, portraits, fridges filled with either beer or wine, jewelry to brighten any ladies life or a tailor made suit for the man of the house, are up for the taking.
